Mid-Level Business Analyst

SBD is seeking a Mid-Level Business Analyst to join an exciting project to provide maintenance and new development support for our federal client at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The team is responsible for providing end-user support to a web-enabled business application. This includes supporting the evolution of applications, systems, and/or processes to a desired future state by maintaining a comprehensive understanding of how current processes impact business operations for the application.
 

The Business Analyst tasks include:
  • Application release planning with the technical testing teams.
  • Business and system requirements gathering and analysis
  • Design (front and back-end) specification
  • Supporting development and test engineers
  • Supporting end user testing
  • Investigation and troubleshooting Tier 3 help desk tickets
  • Facilitate and manage client meetings
  • Pursue self-development and effective relationships with others by organizing resources and information; openly sharing information, advice, and expertise with coworkers and customers; influencing others through technical explanations and examples; adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback
  • Complete work assignments by applying up-to-date expertise in subject area; leveraging an understanding of policies, data, and resources to support projects or initiatives; collaborating cross-functionally to solve business problems; identifying and monitoring priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicating progress and information; identifying, recommending, and implementing ways to address improvement opportunities
 

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology or related field or 4 years of comparable experience without a degree

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
 

Preferred Qualifications:
  • SQL Knowledge
  • 3 + years’ Experience with End-User / Production Support
  • Client management
  • Experience with MS SharePoint 2013
