Functional Analyst

SBD is seeking a Functional Analyst to support our federal customer in Stennis, MS.  The Analyst is responsible for providing operational support to service desk and field deployment activities to meet the quality levels defined by the government.
 

Duties include analyzing, defining, and documenting functional requirements; related to Service Desk Operations, Deskside Support, Wireless Services, Deployment Services, Server Operations and Maintenance, and Training, Manpower, Logistics Planning, Medical, Operations, and Communications.  The successful candidate will be able to:
  • Analyze user needs to determine functional and cross- functional requirements.
  • Perform functional allocation to identify required tasks and their interrelationships.
  • Collaborate with IT managers to define performance challenges and design performance measurement solutions to inform management decision making.
  • Investigate and resolve client issues in a production environment, developing solutions to the client's system needs, participating as an analyst in system upgrades, testing software changes, and performing other functions, as needed. 
  • Participate in developing user training materials, updating the users' desk reference guides, SharePoint design and development and other operations activities.
 

Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical and writing skills
  • Ability to plan and execute work independently
  • Exceptional client interaction skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • 1 to 4 years of help desk support experience
  • System or regression testing experience
  • Issue tracking tool experience, such as ServiceNow
  • SharePoint experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of experience
  • ITIL Foundations Familiarity or certification preferred
  • US Citizenship is required along with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
