Solutions By Design II, LLC (SBD) is seeking an Enterprise Architect/DISA Coordination to join our team in support of our Federal Defense customer in Aurora, CO.  The individual(s) in this role will be joining a team that is responsible for maintaining, operating, and providing engineering and technical support to an Oracle Federal Financials (OFF) based e-Commerce system.  The team is responsible for administration and maintenance of the existing custom software; administration and upgrade of the existing Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software and tools; maintenance of the existing COTS extensions and COTS configurations; corrective software maintenance of custom software, COTS extensions and COTS configurations, including all efforts to diagnose and correct application processing or performance errors; coordination for and troubleshooting of web-based applications executing on remote, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) computing platforms and network infrastructure; and support of DISA upgrades of Operating System and Network infrastructure.
 

Responsibilities:
  • Provides high-level architectural expertise to managers and technical staff.
  • Develops architectural products and deliverables for the enterprise and operational business lines.
  • Develops strategy of system and the design infrastructure necessary to support that strategy.
  • Advises on selection of technological purchases with regards to processing, data storage, data access, and applications development. Sets standards for the client/server relational database structure for the organization (SQL, ORACLE, SYBASE, etc.).
  • Advises of feasibility of potential future projects to management.
  • Conduct business analysis of the latest Business Enterprise Architecture (BEA) standard release and implement the necessary upgrades, modifications, and/or configuration changes (annually) to the applications, databases, and proxy and web servers to maintain Standard Financial Information Structure (SFIS), Data Act, and Standard Line of Accounting (SLOA) compliance.
  • Implement the necessary upgrades and changes to OFF and the EDW applications, databases, and proxy and web servers, to implement the Line of Accounting (LOA) and Common Cost Accounting (CCAS) application enhancements:
    • Conduct discovery to add additional fields to OFF and EDW as required by the Government.
    • Conduct integration testing of changes as required by the Government.
    • Manage user acceptance testing of changes as required by the Government.
  • Support creation of files, and the necessary updates associated with the files, for the Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS) Defense Departmental Reporting System (DDRS) interface.
  • Perform enhancement engineering activities for the Documentum application to implement a document management, data repository, and document reporting solution.
  • Perform enhancement engineering activities for the expansion of Control-M scheduling and management for all appropriate operational software tasks. In addition, shall PKI-enable the Control-M website. Shall ensure the Control-M environments are installed and configured on separate servers to match production configurations.
  • Perform enhancement engineering activities (planning through implementation tasks) for the Clause Logic Service integration with PRISM.

Qualifications (Requirements):
  • For each individual, a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a related field (e.g., computer science, engineering, information systems).
  • ​A minimum of 10 years of experience to include software architecture experience with a program of the size and complexity of the contract; and
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience to include data architecture/data warehouse experience with a program of the size and complexity of the contract.
  • Experience working with DISA management, system administrators, network teams, and service desks, to coordinate ECS DISA changes, is preferred.
  • Technical Environment Experience:
    • Application: OFF, EDW, MTR/PAT, Extranet, PRISM, Documentum, ECCP
    • OS: UNIX, Solaris, Windows 2012
    • DBMS & Tools: Oracle, Oracle Application Manager, WebLogic, OID, Cloud Control, Oracle, COTS: SBM, QC
  • Must be a US Citizen possessing or able to obtain the proper security clearance (i.e., ADP-I or II) in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program.
