Solutions By Design II, LLC (SBD) is seeking a Service Desk Technician Sr. to join our team in support of our Department of Defense customer in Arlington, VA.  Responsibilities of this role include:
  • Under direct supervision, provides support to end-users for PC, server or mainframe applications, and hardware. May interact with network services, software systems engineering and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problems. Simulates or recreates user problems to resolve operating difficulties. Recommends systems modifications to reduce user problems. Refers more complex problems to appropriate personnel.
  • Provide desk side support once a user's mailbox has been migrated.                                                                    
  • Provide incident management for all enterprise incidents and timely return to service requirements for users and the enterprise.
  • Re-establish the new user profiles and drive mappings.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by patiently assisting end-users through a complex process.


Position Requirements:
  • Five plus (5+) years’ relevant experience in System and Application support.
  • Ability to solve problems/troubleshoot and provide end-user support.
  • Ability to communicate clearly verbally, and in written form at all levels of the program including client leadership.
  • Familiarity with MS Office products.
  • Familiarity with Service Desk ticket generation and tracking systems and processes.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have an Active DoD Secret or Interim Secret Clearance.
  • Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification requirements (a current compliant certification is preferred; ability to obtain prior to starting is required). Proof of certification is required. Approved Certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+ **, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP


Desired Experience and Qualifications:
  • Department of the Navy experience.
  • Other military department or Department of Defense experience.
  • Other federal government experience.
  • In addition, consideration will be given for any technical certification, accomplishment or demonstrated expertise that displays a level of competence equating to the education or experience required for a position.
