Cyber Security Program Manager

SBD is seeking an energetic and motivated Cyber Security Program Manager (PM) for a federal client.  The PM shall effectively and efficiently plan, organize and manage all aspects of a large-scale information assurance and cyber security project.  The PM leads a group of highly skilled cyber experts providing complete end-to-end Information Assurance and Cyber support services. The PM is responsible overseeing the cyber risk management including information system continuous monitoring (ISCM), assessment, POA&M, and information systems security officer (ISSO) support, and privacy activities. The PM works hand-in-hand with the government leads to provide complex and highly visible solutions for continuous monitoring while delivering innovation and improvements to current processes and technologies to improve the overall security posture of the department.  The PM should be experienced with CDM, NIST, FISMA, IT Audit Techniques and compliance as well as trends in privacy.

In this position, the PM will:
  • Organize, direct, and coordinate planning and execution of all project activities
  • Oversee day-to-day management of 20+ person team, including subcontractor personnel
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate risks as appropriate to ensure project success.
  • Manage customer relationship, ensuring effective working relationships and communications at all appropriate levels.
  • Manage partner relationships.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities.
  • Provide strategic program direction, aligned with customer vision and strategy.
  • Build and sustain vibrant team culture focused on improving morale, addressing performance challenges, and motivating and inspiring exceptional performance.
  • Main point of contact for Government PM/technical lead.
  • Maintain relationship with Government PM.
  • Prepare for and support SBD monthly QA and ISSO process requirements, including conducting monthly internal project reviews.
  • Drive project financial results (revenue, GM, profit).
  • Ensure project team meets all contract requirements and deliverables.
  • Review weekly, monthly reports to customer.
  • Track contract funding.
  • Develop/track project schedules.
  • Manage project management plan updates.
  • Provide best practices advice and assistance and drive ongoing process improvement.


Requirements:
  • Must have 7+ years experience supporting Federal customers 
  • Must have 5+ years demonstrated success serving in program management roles on projects of 15+ FTEs in size.
  • Must have experience managing a cyber security project
  • Must have a CISSP
  • Must have ITIL experience
  • Prefer to have PMP
  • Must have strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills, listening and writing skills
  • Must have a DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance and be able to obtain a federal government EOD

  • PMP certification
