Solutions By Design II, LLC (SBD) is seeking a Program Financial Analyst to join our team in support of a program with our federal health IT customer. The responsibilities of the Program Financial Analyst will include:
Prepare and review financial variances between Actual/Budget/Forecast
Perform detailed reporting and analyses of monthly financial data to include revenue and cost variances, trend analysis, and swings in profit margin financial results
Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data
Perform Earned Value Management analysis to produce financial reports for project and senior management, and for clients
Provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations
Support project and senior management to produce pricing submissions for cost proposals
Support program management reviews with accurate financial data, value added financial analysis, and updating presentation materials
Respond to customer inquiries on program financial reporting deliverables, and billing.
Access Deltek system and financial reporting systems to pull actual financials for use in trending and forecasting analyses.
Review subcontractor invoices and purchase requisitions to ensure adherence to contract requirements
Assist SBD management in review and development of targets and annual budgets
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
5+ years progressively increasing experience in project and program level financial analysis and reporting
Federal / government contracting experience
Deltek Costpoint experience
Hands-on operational experience serving as a program financial analyst for a large program (25+ FTEs) or for a portfolio of multiple projects.
Must have strong analytical (quantitative as well as qualitative) skills including building models, prior data mining and on line market research
Self-starter with the ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow
Strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models
Superior expertise and experience with Microsoft Excel is required
Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills, and be comfortable interacting with executive-level management
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics
All applicants shall have lived in the United States for at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years
Must be able to pass a CMS-specific Public Trust background investigation
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Financial modeling experience
Prior experience with Cognos
