Lead VoIP Technician

Solutions By Design II, LLC (SBD) is seeking a Lead VoIP Technician to join our team in support of our DoD customer.  The Lead VoIP Technician’s responsibilities will include:
  • Lead VoIP Team
  • Troubleshoot/resolve complex issues in a global support environment and provide appropriate follow-up.
  • Quickly discover the essence of problems reported through customer support tickets and manage them to completion, interacting with co-workers, customers and vendors as necessary and as dictated by our service agreements
  • Provide expert level technical support for all telephony elements comprising the VoIP platform.
  • Configuring/modifying/troubleshooting/deleting of VoIP hard phone.
  • Configuring/modifying/ troubleshooting/deleting of softphone application installed on customer’s computers
  • Configuring/modifying/ troubleshooting/deleting of Extension Mobility
  • Configuring modifying/troubleshooting/deleting of voicemail profiles
  • Updating, altering, or modifying phone numbers, speed dials, line behavior (i.e. ring behavior) for any phone connected to the Cisco Unified Communications Manager
 
Requirements:
  • Team player with ability to work independently and learn quickly.
  • Ability to delegate and lead team
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting customers in a business environment
  • Strong communications, analytical, and leadership skills necessary for independent project work
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written & oral communication skills, enabling to explain complex technical issues & resolutions
  • Excellent understanding of the technical fundamentals of Networking
  • Section 8570.01-m Compliance for IAT Level 1 (CompTIA Security+ CE)
  • CCNA Voice, or CCNA Collaboration
  • Bachelor’s Degree (any field) (desired but not required) – may be substituted for 4 years of experience
  • 2 to 3 years working experience with Cisco Call Manager and Prime platform (desired)
  • US Citizenship is Required
  • Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance
